A small group (4 players only) Integrated Netball Coaching Program (Covid-19 Compliant Outdoors).
All-inclusive: Netball Fitness, Technical Skills, Game Analysis, and Psychological Understanding and Freedom.

For Netball Players, Years 7 – 13 as at September 2020

An exciting new integrated netball program, which keeps to the rules of Covid-19 to ensure our safety, yet allows young netballers to develop their entire game; physical, technical, tactical and psychological. Based on a program designed for the University of Kent, this unique offering helps players to understand the game and be masters over their mind.

Program details:

There are three elements to this new integrated netball program:

Physical – Netball fitness; ball management, movements and technical skills, with a special focus on space awareness (within the COVID-19 sport rules).

Game Understanding – Tactical game analysis and neurological skill placement using International and England Netball Super-league footage.

Psychological – Nurture your innate confidence, and resilience and learn to play freely and with curiosity, irrespective of team goals and circumstances.

This revolutionary new approach to sports coaching inspires and guides netball players to access your natural abilities for your chosen sport, without the hindrance of limiting beliefs and confidence issues, that can creep in and spoil your enjoyment, creativity and results.

How this unique integrated netball program impacts a player:

With over 30 years’ experience in elite sports performance, engaging in transformative conversations with athletes, coaches and managers at club, regional, elite, national and professional levels, I can help you to:

1. Understand the mind-performance link– unlock your psychological freedom, be your own coach!

2. Uncover the misunderstanding that causes lack of confidence and under-achievement.

3. Explore what’s possible through your physical body and mind, without the need to prove yourself.

RESULTS ON OFFER – NETBALL SPECIFIC:

  • Using International netball video footage; explore styles of play, set pieces, and develop positional understanding.

  • Physically hone your game skills, ball management, movements, attacking, defending and shooting skills.

  • Through performance analysis, enhance decision making, explore solutions to solve problems on the court.

  • Improve your netball fitness; improve speed, strength and perceptual field to win spaces and be first to the ball.

RESULTS ON OFFER, STATE OF MIND:

  • When situations don’t go the way you want them, recover quickly from low moods, access your resilience to respond well.

  • Handle selections, feedback and mistakes with greater clarity and confidence.

  • Make sense of stress, and worry that sabotages your enjoyment and results in sport and school life.

  • Avoid blaming others or circumstances for the way you feel, be able to take ownership for your own psychology.

If we can get together and help the youth see the simplicity of life, see that they have this beauty inside of them, to see they have this power within them, the youth will grow up very very wise, and this world will change and become a far far better place to live in.

Mark Harris

I reached out to Denise when my world seemed to be falling apart. I had recently received a diagnosis of two different types of cancer; my son was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and had little time to live. I did not know how to process all of this, and my mental state spiralled! Within ten minutes of quiet time with Denise, I felt everything lifting from my shoulders and a feeling of calm settling in its place. Working with Denise has given me a deeper understanding and knowledge of the mind, it keeps me on a healthy path not only in general day-to-day life but as a life skill in my work environment and sport. Forever grateful to you, Denise.

Mark Harris

Nadia McMillian

I am so grateful to have worked with Denise, I used to float in and out of different moods and believed it was other things and situations causing them. Honestly, this understanding has changed my life.

Hannah Salem

I used to struggle to remain calm and confident in stressful situations, what others think of me, what would happen if I did something wrong? We are all capable of achieving, no part of our abilities is lacking! This programme has truly changed me for the best and is perfect during my final year of University.

I was fortunate enough to have a conversation with Denise when we met in America. It would be easy to accuse me of exaggeration or sensationalising by making the following statement, but I can only offer you the truth as I see it.

Denise’s new approach is great for teamwork, we don’t get upset with each other anywhere near as much, and get over disappointments quickly.

Denise Holland is one of my best “students.” She is one of the few students I have asked to teach with me, and I was and remain very impressed with her presence, her knowledge, her wisdom, her feeling and her responsiveness. I would say anyone who works with Denise is in excellent hands.

Vicky Norman

Meeting Denise was perfect timing, written in the stars, foretold, whatever. My world was falling apart, my marriage had ended, my child was in serious trouble, and I was upping sticks and moving up North to run the biggest, most complex project of my career.
Four months later, my project is an astonishing success, my marriage is back on track, and best of all, my baby is coming back to me. I am different at work, at home, inside my head, and others can see it. The dark days aren’t dark any more because they don’t last, and the light days are far more frequent. Denise’s workj isn’t just amazing in the world of sport but any area of life.

Charlie Harris

Before I took part in Denise’s Health and Well Being programme, I stressed in many situations; it would prevent me from taking part in different things. I now look at the situations holistically and not let thoughts prevent me from putting myself forward.

Denise has the skills and experience to wake people up to deeper knowledge about themselves. In the sporting arena, this knowledge happens to be crucially important.

Grayson Hart

I enjoyed speaking with Denise about the mind and performance. The conversations were very insightful and always had me challenging and questioning the status quo regarding mental performance. The critical pointer Denise gave was that our natural state is freedom of mind, clarity and potential. We don’t need to overexert the mind to find these states. Searching for them often leads us further into tension. I found this very relatable to direct experiences in life and sport.

Harriet Bonner-Leney

I enjoyed this course very much as it improved my shooting technique and accuracy dramatically. I learned that you do not have to be controlled by your negative thoughts because they are not you.

What People Say About Working With Denise at the Inspired Netball Program

Before I went on the course, I was not very consistent with my shooting, and I was not very good at getting away from the defender and was letting thoughts get in the way of my playing and generally everything! I learned that I could get rid of my thoughts by letting the qualities I was born with come through. I have learned many different ways to get free and how England, Australian, and the Kiwi's mark. Now I can get rid of thoughts and feelings that get in the way by leaving them alone. Elia Ali - Yr 8

When I first came on the course, I was feeling nervous but then when I saw everyone I was elated. I have learned so many things. To start we learnt a roll off that is really handy in a game. And now I can shoot miles better and read off the player in front” - Anna Davis - Yr 6

This course is absolutely amazing! I have learnt so much from how our thoughts are so important to very helpful physcial work. I am so happy I cam on this program as I've grown so much as a netballer, I appreciate it so much, thank you Denise! Sophie Craig - Yr 7

I used to get very panicy and now I know I will always be OKay. I did not know how to do good shooting and now I do and that is good because I can get into great shooting spaces - Isla Norton Yr 6

Before I came on the course I was nervous with my shot and couldn't get free often; then I learned different techniques of how to get free, shoot and also how to move the ball down the court faster. I also leant about the mind and how it works which has taught me, if I am sad or angry, that thoughts won't stay forever! From this program, I am now more confident with my shooting. I know that I am in control of my mind; it can always change to a more helpful perspective. Amelia Gray - Yr 11
