As we creep out of lockdown and all play our part to help re-boot the economy – what’s going on for businesses and how can you best operate at this time?
This pandemic is an opportunity to learn and grow. In slowing down, we have seen incredible acts of kindness, creativity and resilience. So how can we make it count, as we return to work?
As a business owner, you are responsible for your team. I imagine you would like your staff to return to work highly inspired, ready and willing to adapt and explore new ways of working, be sensitive to the needs of others, and not take things personally when customers get upset? All these character traits might be wishful thinking, or are they? It seems to me that the clear-mindedness and responsiveness of the minds of your staff determine the potential growth and success of your business!
What can you do to ensure the minds of your staff are at the top of their game, functioning optimally, even though the landscape is different and uncertain?
With excess stock; lack of fresh new supplies and customers willing and able to buy, how can your team respond effectively and grow the business?
Let me help you:
Now is a superb time to consider the performance health of your employees, be interested in their mental and emotional states and their capacity to perform. The cutting edge is no longer to do with products or systems; it is to do with ‘human beings’. Leveraging the minds of the people in your business is now your most frontline performance variable. Yet risking people’s capacity to respond to the moment still prevails as the quick buck sadly remains more attractive.
There are many traditional methods and techniques to help people to improve wellbeing and manage insecure or restrictive perspectives and beliefs. Still, for me being in the world of elite performance in sports for over 30 years, application-based solutions are somewhat sticky plaster. The most impactful intervention is to go upstream, of personal limitations and free the human mind to live and perform well. We now have the technology to guide your staff towards living and working more consciously, enjoying the clarity of mind, resilience and creativity to solve problems in record time—the communication prowess to resolve conflict before it erodes your profits.
The proverb, “you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink” points to businesses providing gyms, massages, flexible hours, and surveys to improve the mental health, and wellbeing of their staff – people need to want to take this action and even when they do, the effect from the distraction of their usual troublesome mind, is short-lived!
Every human being has the natural resources to be their performance coach. Teaching a person where to look, and where not to look, is the jewel behind all human endeavour. Are you ready to develop a happy, healthy and discouragement proof culture in your business?
What People Say About Working With Denise
I am so grateful to have worked with Denise, I used to float in and out of different moods and believed it was other things and situations causing them. Honestly, this understanding has changed my life.
Before I took part in Denise’s Health and Well Being programme, I stressed in many situations; it would prevent me from taking part in different things. I now look at the situations holistically and not let thoughts prevent me from putting myself forward.
I used to struggle to remain calm and confident in stressful situations, what others think of me, what would happen if I did something wrong? We are all capable of achieving, no part of our abilities is lacking! This programme has truly changed me for the best and is perfect during my final year of University.
Denise has the skills and experience to wake people up to deeper knowledge about themselves. In the sporting arena, this knowledge happens to be crucially important.
I was fortunate enough to have a conversation with Denise when we met in America. It would be easy to accuse me of exaggeration or sensationalising by making the following statement, but I can only offer you the truth as I see it.
Meeting Denise was perfect timing, written in the stars, foretold, whatever. My world was falling apart, my marriage had ended, my child was in serious trouble, and I was upping sticks and moving up North to run the biggest, most complex project of my career.
Four months later, my project is an astonishing success, my marriage is back on track, and best of all, my baby is coming back to me. I am different at work, at home, inside my head, and others can see it. The dark days aren’t dark any more because they don’t last, and the light days are far more frequent. Denise’s workj isn’t just amazing in the world of sport but any area of life.
I enjoyed speaking with Denise about the mind and performance. The conversations were very insightful and always had me challenging and questioning the status quo regarding mental performance. The critical pointer Denise gave was that our natural state is freedom of mind, clarity and potential. We don’t need to overexert the mind to find these states. Searching for them often leads us further into tension. I found this very relatable to direct experiences in life and sport.

Her insightful and intuitive way of working has challenged and deepened my fundamental understanding of all human performance. I reached out to Denise when my world seemed to be falling apart. I had recently received a diagnosis of two different types of cancer; my son was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and had little time to live. I did not know how to process all of this, and my mental state spiralled! Within ten minutes of quiet time with Denise, I felt everything lifting from my shoulders and a feeling of calm settling in its place. Working with Denise has given me a deeper understanding and knowledge of the mind, it keeps me on a healthy path not only in general day-to-day life but as a life skill in my work environment and sport. Forever grateful to you, Denise.
Denise’s new approach is great for teamwork, we don’t get upset with each other anywhere near as much, and get over disappointments quickly.
